UTTA ANNANGAPUR P.S.: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

Nestled within the rural landscape of Odisha, UTTA ANNANGAPUR P.S. stands as a beacon of education for the local community. Established in 1979, this government-run primary school offers a co-educational environment for children from Class 1 to Class 5. The school’s academic focus lies solely on primary education, catering to the needs of students in the early stages of their learning journey.

Instruction is delivered primarily in Odia, the local language of the region. The school boasts a team of two dedicated male teachers, who strive to impart knowledge and nurture the intellectual development of their students. The school’s management falls under the Department of Education, ensuring adherence to established educational standards and guidelines.

Despite its rural setting, UTTA ANNANGAPUR P.S. prioritizes the well-being of its students. A library stocked with 222 books provides access to resources for both learning and leisure. The school also offers access to drinking water through hand pumps, ensuring hydration throughout the day. Furthermore, ramps for the disabled are in place, fostering an inclusive learning environment for all.

Though the school is equipped with five classrooms, it lacks a playground for recreational activities. The absence of computer-aided learning and electricity presents limitations in embracing modern teaching methodologies. The school also does not possess a boundary wall, highlighting a need for enhanced security measures.

While the lack of pre-primary sections and meal provision within the school premises are notable omissions, the school’s commitment to providing quality education is evident. The presence of a library, drinking water facilities, and ramps for disabled students demonstrates a dedication to creating a conducive learning environment.

UTTA ANNANGAPUR P.S. stands as a testament to the dedication of educators in rural areas. With its focus on providing primary education to the local community, the school plays a crucial role in shaping the future of its students. Despite its limitations, the school continues to serve as a vital resource for knowledge and growth, contributing to the educational landscape of Odisha.
