UPS PURE GOSAIN: A Rural Upper Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

UPS PURE GOSAIN, a government-run upper primary school, stands as a beacon of education in the rural landscape of Uttar Pradesh. Established in 2014, the school caters to students in grades 6 through 8, providing a foundation for their academic journey.

Located in the GAURA block of the PRATAPGARH district, the school embodies the spirit of inclusivity. It operates as a co-educational institution, welcoming both boys and girls alike to its doors. The school’s commitment to accessibility is further reflected in its provision of ramps for disabled students, ensuring a barrier-free learning environment.

UPS PURE GOSAIN boasts a well-maintained infrastructure. With two classrooms in good condition, the school provides ample space for interactive learning. The school is also equipped with basic amenities, such as electricity, hand pumps for drinking water, and separate functional toilets for boys and girls. These facilities contribute to a safe and comfortable learning environment for all.

While the school offers a range of facilities, it lacks certain features that would enhance the learning experience. The school currently does not have a library or a playground. Furthermore, the school does not have computers for teaching and learning purposes, nor does it have a computer-aided learning lab.

Despite these limitations, UPS PURE GOSAIN excels in certain areas. Hindi serves as the medium of instruction, providing a familiar and accessible learning experience for students from the local community. The school also provides meals, albeit prepared outside the school premises.

The school’s faculty comprises one male teacher, dedicated to imparting knowledge and nurturing the young minds entrusted to their care. Although the school does not have a head teacher, its commitment to quality education remains unwavering.

UPS PURE GOSAIN’s story underscores the importance of accessible and inclusive education in rural communities. While the school faces challenges, its dedication to providing a foundational education to its students serves as a testament to the transformative power of education.
