UG EGS SALMPURA F. KADWAL: A Primary School in Rural Madhya Pradesh

UG EGS SALMPURA F. KADWAL is a government-run primary school situated in the KATTHIWARA block of ALIRAJPUR district in Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1997, the school is managed by the Tribal/Social Welfare Department and serves the rural community.

The school offers primary education from Class 1 to Class 5, catering to both boys and girls. Hindi is the primary medium of instruction. Despite being a co-educational school, it does not have a separate pre-primary section.

The school building, constructed by the government, boasts one classroom in good condition and two additional rooms dedicated to non-teaching activities. A separate room is available for the headmaster/teacher.

The school is enclosed by a pucca boundary wall but lacks electricity connectivity. However, a functional hand pump provides drinking water for students and staff.

Essential Facilities for Learning:

The school is equipped with basic amenities, including one functional boys’ toilet and one functional girls’ toilet. However, it lacks a playground and a library, which limits extracurricular activities and access to books.

Limited Resources for Modern Education:

While the school provides mid-day meals prepared on the premises, it is hindered by a lack of computers and computer-aided learning facilities. This absence limits opportunities for students to engage with modern learning methods and technologies.

Challenges and Potential for Growth:

The school’s limited resources, including the absence of electricity, computers, and a library, pose significant challenges to providing a comprehensive and engaging learning environment for students.

Despite these challenges, the school’s location in a rural area and its focus on providing primary education makes it a vital resource for the local community. The presence of a functioning hand pump and sanitation facilities demonstrates a commitment to basic student needs.

With additional resources and investment, UG EGS SALMPURA F. KADWAL has the potential to become a more robust and fulfilling learning environment for its students.
