SULAVA U.P.SCHOOL: A Glimpse into Rural Education in Odisha

SULAVA U.P.SCHOOL, located in the heart of rural Odisha, stands as a testament to the commitment to providing quality education to young minds. Established in 1960, this government-run institution caters to students from Class 1 to Class 7, offering a co-educational environment.

The school, with its four classrooms, boasts a well-equipped library stocked with an impressive 947 books. This valuable resource provides students with access to knowledge beyond the curriculum, fostering a love for reading and learning. To ensure a conducive learning environment, the school has invested in essential amenities like two boys’ toilets, two girls’ toilets, and drinking water through hand pumps.

SULAVA U.P.SCHOOL emphasizes accessibility for all students, including those with disabilities, with the availability of ramps for easy access. The school also prioritizes student safety and well-being by providing meals prepared within the school premises, ensuring nutritious food for all students.

The school’s teaching staff comprises four dedicated individuals, including three male teachers and one female teacher, headed by DEBAKI DASH. These teachers are dedicated to providing quality instruction in Odia, the primary language of instruction.

Despite its commitment to providing basic education, the school does not offer pre-primary education. Additionally, while the school operates in a rural setting, it lacks a boundary wall. However, the presence of a playground for students to engage in physical activities is missing.

The school’s infrastructure, while modest, reflects the realities of education in rural India. The lack of a playground and boundary wall highlights the need for further development to enhance the learning experience. Yet, the school’s dedication to providing essential amenities, including a well-stocked library and a safe learning environment, speaks volumes about its commitment to providing quality education.

SULAVA U.P.SCHOOL serves as a beacon of hope for rural communities in Odisha, offering children a chance to access education and build a better future. With its dedicated teachers and a strong focus on learning, the school continues to play a vital role in shaping young minds and contributing to the development of the region.
