S.SHISHU V.M. MIRJAPUR: A Rural Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

S.SHISHU V.M. MIRJAPUR, located in the SADAT block of GHAZIPUR district in Uttar Pradesh, is a primary school offering education to children from Class 1 to Class 5. Established in 1979, this co-educational school is managed privately and operates in a rural setting. Despite being a private institution, it is not aided by any external funding.

The school’s infrastructure includes a private building with nine classrooms, all in good condition. Additionally, there are two rooms dedicated to non-teaching activities, and a separate room for the head teacher. The school is surrounded by a pucca boundary wall, albeit in a broken state.

While the school does not have access to electricity, it provides clean drinking water through hand pumps. In terms of sanitation, the school has one functional boys’ toilet and one functional girls’ toilet. However, the school lacks a playground and a library, and consequently, has no books available for students.

Despite the lack of certain amenities, S.SHISHU V.M. MIRJAPUR strives to provide quality education to its students. The school employs one male teacher, who delivers instruction in Hindi, the primary language of the school. It is important to note that the school does not have a pre-primary section and relies on a private building for its operation.

While the school does not have a computer lab or computers for teaching and learning purposes, it does provide a conducive learning environment through its well-maintained classrooms. However, the absence of a library and playground might pose challenges for student development and learning.

Interestingly, the school does not offer meals to its students. The school’s commitment to providing education to students in a rural setting, despite its limitations, is commendable. Its focus on basic education and the use of Hindi as the instruction medium aligns with the local community’s needs.

S.SHISHU V.M. MIRJAPUR represents a typical rural primary school in Uttar Pradesh, offering essential education to children in the local community. While it faces challenges due to resource limitations, its dedication to teaching and its focus on basic education make it a valuable asset to the community.
