PS TELIYANI: A Rural Primary School in Amethi

PS TELIYANI is a government-run primary school located in the GAURIGANJ block of AMETHI CSM NAGAR district in Uttar Pradesh. Established in 2011, the school serves students from the surrounding rural community.

A Focus on Primary Education

PS TELIYANI offers education for students from Class 1 to Class 5, with a focus on providing a strong foundation in basic education. The school follows a co-educational model, welcoming both boys and girls to learn and grow together. Hindi is the medium of instruction, ensuring that students can access education in their native language.

Infrastructure and Resources

The school building is government-owned and features two well-maintained classrooms for instructional purposes. The building also houses two additional rooms for non-teaching activities and a dedicated space for the head teacher. The school has a pucca boundary wall, although it is currently in a state of disrepair.

While the school does not have electricity, it provides access to clean drinking water through hand pumps. For hygiene and sanitation, the school has separate functional toilets for boys and girls.

A Community-Oriented Approach

PS TELIYANI actively engages with the community by providing a mid-day meal program, ensuring that students receive a nutritious meal while at school. The school’s commitment to the community extends to its accessibility; it is situated on an all-weather road, making it convenient for students from the surrounding areas to attend.

Looking Toward the Future

While PS TELIYANI provides a solid foundation in primary education, there are areas for potential improvement. The school lacks a library, playground, and computer-aided learning facilities. Investing in these resources would enhance the educational experience for students and open up opportunities for them to explore new learning avenues.

PS TELIYANI plays a vital role in educating the children of the rural community. The school’s dedicated staff and focus on providing a quality education, coupled with the community’s support, make it a valuable asset to the area. With continued dedication and investment in resources, PS TELIYANI has the potential to empower its students and contribute to the growth and development of the surrounding community.
