PS RUHERI: A Rural Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

PS RUHERI is a primary school located in the SASNI block of HATHRAS district in Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1970, the school is managed by the Department of Education and serves students from Class 1 to Class 5. This co-educational school offers instruction in Hindi, catering to the local community’s needs.

The school building is a government-owned structure and boasts three classrooms in good condition. While the school has a separate room for the Headmaster/Teacher, it lacks a library and playground. Despite its rural location, PS RUHERI benefits from a functional hand pump providing drinking water to students and staff.

Hygiene is prioritized at PS RUHERI, with one functional boys’ toilet and one functional girls’ toilet available. This ensures a healthy learning environment for all.

The school is conveniently located on an all-weather road, making it accessible to students throughout the year. However, it currently lacks electricity, presenting a challenge for evening classes or activities. While PS RUHERI offers midday meals to students, prepared in the school premises, the lack of computer-aided learning facilities and computers for teaching and learning purposes presents a gap in their educational resources.

Despite these limitations, PS RUHERI continues to serve its community, providing a vital foundation for young learners in the rural area. The school’s dedicated staff of four female teachers are committed to providing quality education, emphasizing the importance of core subjects taught through the medium of Hindi.

PS RUHERI is a testament to the commitment to basic education in rural India. While the school faces challenges, its dedication to providing a safe and nurturing environment for students remains strong. The school’s commitment to providing midday meals and ensuring access to clean water reflects its prioritization of student well-being.

As PS RUHERI continues to serve its community, future efforts aimed at enhancing its resources, such as providing electricity and computer-aided learning facilities, will further empower students and contribute to their academic growth. The school’s commitment to its students’ future is evident, and by bridging the gap in educational resources, it can continue to provide quality education for generations to come.
