PS BULAKIHAR: A Rural Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

PS BULAKIHAR, located in the MALIHABAD block of LUCKNOW district in Uttar Pradesh, is a government-run primary school that has been educating children since 2002. Situated in a rural area, this co-educational school offers education from Class 1 to Class 5, with a focus on providing quality instruction in Hindi.

The school building, though government-owned, is in a state of disrepair, with a “Pucca But Broken” boundary wall. While the school does not have electricity, it boasts a functional hand pump for drinking water, a vital resource for the students.

Inside, PS BULAKIHAR has four well-maintained classrooms, along with two additional rooms dedicated to non-teaching activities and one designated for the head teacher. Despite the lack of electricity and a playground, the school provides a conducive environment for learning.

A library, stocked with 60 books, serves as a valuable resource for students, fostering a love for reading and expanding their knowledge base. Furthermore, PS BULAKIHAR provides mid-day meals to its students, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.

The school boasts a dedicated staff of five teachers, comprising one male teacher and four female teachers. Although the school does not have computers, it emphasizes the importance of learning through hands-on experiences. The school’s commitment to quality education is evident in the provision of a separate room for the head teacher, MAMTA TYAGI.

While the school lacks some amenities, its commitment to providing a quality education to its students is evident. PS BULAKIHAR is a testament to the importance of education, even in rural settings, and the dedication of the staff in nurturing young minds.

The school’s location, in the MALIHABAD block of LUCKNOW district, makes it easily accessible to students residing in the surrounding areas. The absence of a pre-primary section, however, presents a potential gap in early childhood education within the community.

Despite the challenges, PS BULAKIHAR stands as a symbol of hope and progress in the rural landscape of Uttar Pradesh. Its dedication to providing quality education, combined with its commitment to student well-being, ensures a bright future for the children of this village.
