PS BENDA DANDA: A Rural Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

PS BENDA DANDA, located in the SARILA block of HAMIRPUR (U.P.) district in Uttar Pradesh, is a primary school offering education from Class 1 to Class 5. Established in 2002, the school is managed by the Department of Education and caters to students from a rural area.

The school is co-educational and provides education in Hindi. It doesn’t have a pre-primary section, ensuring a focus on primary education. With 5 classrooms in good condition and 2 additional rooms for non-teaching activities, PS BENDA DANDA provides adequate space for its students. The school boasts a government building and has a separate room for the head teacher.

While the school does not have a boundary wall, it does have an electricity connection, ensuring basic infrastructure is in place. The school relies on hand pumps for its drinking water supply, which are functional. The school also prioritizes hygiene with 1 functional boys toilet and 1 functional girls toilet.

However, PS BENDA DANDA does not have a playground or a library. It also lacks computers for teaching and learning, and consequently, a computer-aided learning lab is not available. Despite the absence of these facilities, the school provides a mid-day meal for its students, prepared and served within the school premises.

The school is easily accessible by road, making it convenient for students and their families. The academic session starts in April, adhering to the usual academic calendar.

While the school could benefit from additional resources like a library, playground, and computers, it strives to provide quality primary education in a supportive and hygienic environment. The dedicated staff, including 2 male teachers and 1 female teacher, ensure that students receive the best possible learning experience within the limitations of available resources.

PS BENDA DANDA, like many other rural schools in India, faces challenges in accessing resources and infrastructure. However, it continues to play a vital role in providing quality education to children in the community, empowering them to pursue their future aspirations.
