NATABARAPRASAD UPMES: A Rural Upper Primary School in Odisha

Located in the state of Odisha, NATABARAPRASAD UPMES is a government-run upper primary school serving students from classes 6 to 8. Established in 1981, the school is situated in a rural area and offers a co-educational learning environment.

The school boasts a library containing 166 books, providing students with access to valuable resources for their studies. While the school lacks a playground, it provides a safe learning space with three classrooms, a boys’ and girls’ toilet, and drinking water facilities through hand pumps.

The school’s infrastructure is partially walled, indicating ongoing development and efforts to provide a secure and conducive learning environment. The school, however, lacks access to electricity and computer-aided learning tools, highlighting the need for further investment in infrastructure and resources.

NATABARAPRASAD UPMES is managed by the Department of Education and employs a total of three teachers, including one head teacher. The instruction medium is Odia, ensuring that students receive education in their native language.

The school’s academic focus is on providing quality upper primary education, preparing students for further studies or vocational training. The school is also notable for its commitment to providing meals to students, ensuring they receive proper nutrition during their time at school.

While the school offers a valuable service to the local community, its lack of certain amenities highlights the need for continued support from the government and local stakeholders. Providing access to electricity, computer-aided learning, and a playground could significantly enhance the school’s ability to provide a modern and holistic educational experience for its students.

Further development and investment in NATABARAPRASAD UPMES would not only improve the quality of education but also contribute to the overall well-being of the students and the local community. By ensuring access to essential resources and infrastructure, the school can continue to play a vital role in nurturing the future generations of Odisha.
