DHALABANI NPS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

Nestled in the village of DHALABANI, located in the state of Odisha, DHALABANI NPS is a government-run primary school offering education to students from Class 1 to Class 5. This co-educational institution, established in 2008, caters to the educational needs of the rural community.

DHALABANI NPS is a humble school with one classroom, providing a space for learning for its students. The school prioritizes the well-being of its students, ensuring clean sanitation facilities with one boys’ toilet and one girls’ toilet available on campus. However, the school lacks basic amenities such as electricity and a boundary wall, which can pose challenges for both students and teachers.

Despite these limitations, DHALABANI NPS boasts a well-stocked library with a collection of 40 books, fostering a love for reading amongst its students. The school emphasizes the importance of a holistic learning experience, providing a safe and encouraging environment with a dedicated playground for students to engage in physical activities. While the school doesn’t provide drinking water facilities, it ensures that meals are provided and prepared within the school premises, promoting healthy eating habits amongst its students.

The school is staffed by a team of two dedicated teachers - one male and one female - who are committed to providing quality education to their students. Instruction is conducted in Odia, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive learning experience in their native language.

DHALABANI NPS is managed by the Department of Education, reflecting the government’s commitment to providing accessible and quality education to all children, even in rural areas. The school’s rural location further highlights its role in bridging the gap in education access and fostering a brighter future for the community.

Despite its limited resources, DHALABANI NPS stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the children of DHALABANI. It is a testament to the dedication of the teachers and the community’s commitment to the pursuit of knowledge, serving as a vital pillar for the development of the village and its residents.
