CHATURISAHI NPS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

CHATURISAHI NPS, located in the state of Odisha, is a primary school catering to students from Class 1 to Class 5. This government-run school, established in 2010, is a co-educational institution offering instruction in Odia.

The school building, though constructed with pucca materials, requires some repairs. Despite this, the school provides a library with 20 books and a hand pump for drinking water.

The school has three classrooms, a boys’ and a girls’ toilet, and is accessible for students with disabilities, thanks to the presence of ramps. However, the school currently lacks electricity and a playground.

Despite the absence of computer-aided learning and electricity, CHATURISAHI NPS has dedicated teachers who are committed to providing quality education to the students. There are two male teachers on staff, all of whom are trained and qualified.

The school follows a curriculum focused on primary education, with no pre-primary section available. While there is no separate facility for meals, they are provided and prepared on school premises.

The school’s management falls under the Department of Education, ensuring adherence to state standards and guidelines. The school’s location in a rural area underscores its crucial role in providing educational opportunities to children in the community.

Although the school is not residential, it serves as a vital hub for learning and development for students in the vicinity.

CHATURISAHI NPS, despite facing some challenges, continues to provide valuable education to the children of the community. Its dedication to providing quality instruction, accessible facilities, and a nurturing environment makes it a cornerstone of rural education in Odisha.
