UPS Gariavali: A Rural Upper Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

Nestled in the heart of rural Uttar Pradesh, UPS Gariavali stands as a beacon of education for children in the area. This government-run school, established in 1998, provides education for students from Class 6 to Class 8, offering a co-educational environment with a focus on Hindi as the primary language of instruction.

The school is equipped with five classrooms, two boys’ toilets, and two girls’ toilets, ensuring basic amenities for its students. While electricity is available, it is not currently functional, highlighting a potential area for improvement.

The school boasts a “Pucca” wall construction, providing a secure and sturdy environment. With a library stocked with 90 books and a designated playground, UPS Gariavali strives to offer students enriching extracurricular activities alongside academic learning. Access to clean drinking water is provided through hand pumps, while ramps for disabled students ensure inclusivity within the school.

UPS Gariavali is led by Head Teacher TARA CHANDRA SINGH, supported by a dedicated team of nine teachers, including two male and seven female teachers. The school’s management falls under the Department of Education, emphasizing its commitment to providing quality education for the local community.

While the school does not offer pre-primary classes or residential facilities, it plays a vital role in providing upper primary education to the surrounding village. The “Others” designation for the board for Class 10 indicates the school’s potential participation in alternative examination boards, providing students with wider educational opportunities.

Furthermore, UPS Gariavali actively provides and prepares meals for its students on the school premises, ensuring nutritional support for all. This dedicated focus on student welfare highlights the school’s commitment to fostering a holistic learning environment.

Located at 27.87365540 latitude and 78.11367940 longitude, UPS Gariavali plays a crucial role in the educational landscape of its village. By offering accessible and comprehensive education, the school empowers young minds and lays the foundation for a brighter future.

However, the lack of functional electricity and the absence of pre-primary classes point to areas where improvement is needed. Addressing these concerns could enhance the learning experience for all students and further solidify UPS Gariavali’s position as a vital educational institution within its community.
