UPS DHAMANI BUJURG: A Rural School Serving the Community

UPS DHAMANI BUJURG, located in the DAKOR block of JALAUN district, Uttar Pradesh, stands as a beacon of education in a rural setting. Established in 2005, the school is managed by the Department of Education and serves students from Class 6 to Class 8. This co-educational institution, while not offering a pre-primary section, plays a vital role in providing quality education to the local community.

The school’s infrastructure reflects its commitment to providing a conducive learning environment. Though the boundary wall is currently under construction, the school boasts a government-built building with three well-maintained classrooms. These classrooms, alongside two rooms designated for non-teaching activities, ensure a space conducive to both learning and recreational purposes.

Despite the absence of a functional electricity connection, the school makes learning accessible. Students can access clean drinking water through hand pumps, a critical resource in a rural area. The school also prioritizes hygiene with one functional boys’ toilet and one functional girls’ toilet, promoting a healthy and comfortable learning environment.

Further enriching the learning experience is the presence of a library stocked with 510 books, providing students with access to a world of knowledge. Additionally, the school features a playground, providing opportunities for physical activity and fostering a sense of community among the students.

While the school currently lacks computer-aided learning facilities and computers for teaching and learning purposes, it focuses on traditional teaching methods. Hindi is the medium of instruction, and three dedicated male teachers deliver the curriculum. The school also implements a midday meal program, providing a nourishing meal for all students, ensuring their well-being and promoting a healthy learning environment.

UPS DHAMANI BUJURG, despite its rural setting, strives to create a holistic learning experience for its students. With its dedicated teachers, well-maintained facilities, and focus on traditional teaching methods, the school empowers its students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the future.
