UP S. DUBRI: A Rural Upper Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

Nestled in the heart of the rural landscape of Uttar Pradesh, UP S. DUBRI is a government-run upper primary school serving students from grades 6 to 8. Established in 2006, the school is managed by the Department of Education and operates in a co-educational setting. While the school offers a comprehensive academic experience, it does not have a pre-primary section.

The school’s infrastructure, while basic, supports a conducive learning environment. The school building houses three well-maintained classrooms for instructional purposes, along with two additional rooms dedicated to non-teaching activities. Additionally, a separate room is allocated for the headmaster or teacher.

Although the school is situated in a rural area and has a playground for physical activities, it lacks a boundary wall and a functional electricity connection. The school relies on hand pumps for drinking water, which are in working condition.

Focusing on the students’ well-being, the school provides a mid-day meal program, ensuring that students receive a nutritious meal prepared within the school premises. The school also boasts a library, equipped with 28 books, to foster a love of reading and learning. However, despite the positive attributes, the school lacks computers and a computer-aided learning lab.

UP S. DUBRI promotes a holistic educational approach, with a strong focus on classroom instruction. The school prioritizes Hindi as the primary language of instruction. The school employs two male teachers who guide and nurture the students, fostering their academic growth and overall development.

The school’s accessibility is ensured by its location on an all-weather road, ensuring ease of travel for students and staff. The school’s academic year commences in April, offering a comprehensive learning experience for its students.

Despite the challenges of limited resources, UP S. DUBRI plays a vital role in providing quality education to the children in its community. The school continues to strive towards creating a learning environment that empowers students and prepares them for a brighter future.
