U P S GISTHA: A Rural Upper Primary School in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh

U P S GISTHA is a government-run upper primary school situated in the rural Babaganj block of Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh. Established in 2008, this co-educational institution caters to students in grades 6 to 8.

The school’s primary medium of instruction is Hindi. While it offers a conducive learning environment with 3 well-maintained classrooms, the school currently lacks essential amenities such as electricity and a boundary wall. The absence of a library, playground, and computers further limits learning opportunities.

Despite these challenges, U P S GISTHA strives to provide a basic education to its students. The school has 3 male teachers who are dedicated to imparting knowledge, but unfortunately, it does not have any female teachers or a pre-primary section. The school’s management falls under the Department of Education, and it provides mid-day meals prepared within the school premises.

The school’s location in a rural area highlights the need for improved infrastructure and resources to ensure a comprehensive education for its students.
