Taraidihi NPS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

Taraidihi NPS is a government-run primary school located in the Taraidihi village of Odisha. Established in 2002, the school offers education from Class 1 to Class 5, catering to students from the surrounding rural area.

The school boasts a library with an impressive collection of 489 books, providing valuable resources for students to enhance their learning experience. The school also provides drinking water facilities through hand pumps, ensuring access to clean water for students and staff.

Taraidihi NPS employs a total of two teachers - one male and one female - to cater to the educational needs of its students. The medium of instruction in the school is Odia, reflecting the local language and culture.

While the school does not offer pre-primary education or computer-aided learning facilities, it prioritizes the well-being of its students by providing a midday meal prepared on-site. This ensures that students have access to nutritious food, contributing to their overall health and learning potential.

Interestingly, Taraidihi NPS falls under the “Others” category for the board of Class 10 and Class 10+2. This suggests that the school might offer a more comprehensive curriculum that goes beyond the traditional state board system.

Furthermore, Taraidihi NPS operates as a co-educational institution, providing equal opportunities for both boys and girls to receive quality education. The school also maintains separate toilet facilities for boys and girls, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all students.

Although the school lacks a playground and electricity, its commitment to providing a conducive learning environment is evident through its library, clean water facilities, and dedicated teaching staff.

Taraidihi NPS stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to providing basic education in rural areas, contributing to the overall development and empowerment of the community. Its dedication to providing quality education, along with its focus on student well-being, makes it a valuable asset for the Taraidihi village and its surrounding areas.
