SORISMAL P.S., located in Odisha, is a government-run primary school offering education to students from Class 1 to Class 5. Established in 1982, the school serves a rural community and is a co-educational institution, welcoming both boys and girls.

The school boasts a library with an impressive collection of 400 books, providing valuable resources for students. The school also provides drinking water through hand pumps, ensuring access to clean water for the students and staff. However, the school faces challenges in terms of infrastructure. While it has three classrooms and separate toilets for boys and girls, it lacks computer-aided learning facilities and electricity. The walls of the school building are only partially constructed.

The school’s academic focus is on primary education (Classes 1-5) with Odia as the primary language of instruction. The school has two male teachers, providing a student-teacher ratio of 1:10, ensuring personalized attention. While the school does not have a pre-primary section, it does offer meals that are prepared and served on the premises.

Although the school doesn’t have a playground, it does provide a safe learning environment for students. The management of the school falls under the Department of Education, reflecting a commitment to providing quality education within the public sector.

The lack of electricity and computer facilities poses a significant challenge to the school’s ability to offer modern learning opportunities. However, the school’s dedication to providing quality education through qualified teachers and a well-stocked library ensures a strong foundation for students’ academic growth.

The school’s location in a rural area highlights the need for further infrastructure development and resource allocation to improve learning conditions and access to modern learning tools.

With continued support and development, this school can continue to play a crucial role in empowering the next generation and fostering brighter futures for the community.
