SANAGHODAGHATI P.S.: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

Located in the heart of rural Odisha, SANAGHODAGHATI P.S. is a primary school serving the local community. Established in 1959, this government-run institution provides education for students from Class 1 to Class 5. The school operates as a co-educational facility, offering instruction in Odia, the local language.

SANAGHODAGHATI P.S. is a relatively small school with just one classroom. The school boasts a small library, housing a collection of 542 books, and features a playground for students. It is important to note that the school does not have electricity or a computer-aided learning facility, highlighting the need for increased infrastructure development.

However, the school prioritizes the well-being of its students with a dedicated focus on their health and safety. There are separate toilets for boys and girls, and ramps for disabled students ensure accessibility for all. The school also provides meals to its students, prepared on the premises, ensuring that children have access to nutritious food.

The school’s teaching staff comprises three male teachers, dedicated to providing quality education to their students. While the school is not a residential institution, it strives to create a welcoming and nurturing environment for the students.

Additionally, the absence of a reliable drinking water source raises concerns about the health and hygiene of the students.

The local community and government should consider investing in improving the infrastructure of SANAGHODAGHATI P.S., equipping it with essential facilities such as electricity, computers, and clean water. This investment would greatly enhance the learning environment for the students and empower them to reach their full potential.
