RANIDUNGRI P.S: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

RANIDUNGRI P.S is a government-run primary school located in a rural area of Odisha, India. It caters to students from Class 1 to Class 5, offering a co-educational environment with a focus on Odia as the instruction medium. Established in 1979, the school stands as a vital educational hub for the local community.

The school boasts two classrooms, equipped with a library containing 195 books. The presence of a library emphasizes the school’s commitment to fostering a love for reading and learning. Despite lacking computer-aided learning facilities and electricity, the school prioritizes the well-being of its students, providing two separate toilets for boys and girls, along with a meal program. The meal is prepared and served on-site, ensuring nutritional support for the children.

RANIDUNGRI P.S is managed by the Department of Education and currently has three dedicated male teachers. The school’s teaching staff works diligently to provide quality education for its students, focusing on the Odia language as the primary mode of instruction.

The school’s unique feature lies in its residential type, being categorized as an Ashram (Govt.) school. This suggests a focus on providing accommodation and care for students who might require it. The school’s commitment to supporting students’ academic and social development is further highlighted by its provision of meals.

Although the school currently does not have a playground, a boundary wall, or ramps for disabled individuals, it offers a valuable educational service to the local community. The lack of these amenities underscores the need for additional resources and support to enhance the school’s infrastructure and cater to the diverse needs of its students.

Despite the challenges faced by the school, its commitment to providing quality education to the children in the rural area is commendable. The presence of a library, a meal program, and dedicated teachers are testament to the school’s dedication to nurturing young minds and empowering them with knowledge.

With continued support and investment, RANIDUNGRI P.S can continue to serve as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the children in the community, fostering their growth and development.
