PS. MAUZAM PUR: A Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

Nestled in the rural heart of Uttar Pradesh, PS. MAUZAM PUR is a government-run primary school serving the Miaun block of Budaun district. Established in 1964, the school offers education to students from grades 1 to 5, embracing a co-educational environment. Though it doesn’t feature a pre-primary section, PS. MAUZAM PUR plays a crucial role in providing foundational education to the local community.

A Focus on Holistic Learning:

Instruction is conducted entirely in Hindi, catering to the linguistic needs of the students. While the school boasts a dedicated library with 65 books, it lacks access to electricity and computer-aided learning facilities. However, the school makes up for these limitations by providing a playground and a functional drinking water source through hand pumps. This emphasis on a well-rounded learning experience is further cemented by the provision of a mid-day meal prepared within the school premises.

Teacher-Student Ratio and Infrastructure:

PS. MAUZAM PUR is staffed by a team of dedicated educators, including 3 male teachers and 1 female teacher. The school boasts 6 classrooms, all in good condition, ensuring a conducive learning environment for the students. The school building features a separate room for the headmaster, demonstrating a commitment to administrative efficiency.

Accessibility and Inclusivity:

Recognizing the importance of accessibility, the school has included ramps for disabled children to easily navigate the classrooms. However, the lack of a boundary wall poses a potential safety concern for the students and the school’s surroundings. Despite the absence of electricity, the school prioritizes the well-being of its students by providing separate functional boys’ and girls’ toilets.

Looking Forward:

PS. MAUZAM PUR stands as a beacon of education within the community. While the school faces challenges in terms of modern technology and infrastructural limitations, its commitment to providing quality education through a holistic approach shines through. With the dedication of its teachers and the support of the community, PS. MAUZAM PUR is poised to continue nurturing young minds and empowering them for a brighter future.
