PS KASBA: A Rural Boys’ School in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh

Located in the RAMPURA block of JALAUN district in Uttar Pradesh, PS KASBA is a rural boys’ school with a rich history dating back to 1948. Managed by the Department of Education, the school offers primary education from Class 1 to Class 5, catering solely to boys. While the school does not offer pre-primary education, it provides a solid foundation in basic education.

The school building, constructed by the government, is equipped with two well-maintained classrooms, ensuring a conducive learning environment for students. These classrooms are complemented by two additional rooms dedicated to non-teaching activities, and a separate room for the headmaster/teacher.

Despite its rural setting, PS KASBA boasts a library containing 81 books, offering students access to valuable knowledge and resources. The school prioritizes the well-being of its students by providing a functional hand pump for clean drinking water, and a separate boys’ toilet.

While PS KASBA lacks a playground for outdoor activities, it prioritizes accessibility with ramps for disabled children, ensuring inclusivity for all students. Interestingly, the school utilizes Hindi as the primary medium of instruction, making it a vital educational institution for the local community.

A noteworthy aspect of PS KASBA is its dedication to providing mid-day meals, which are prepared and served on the school premises. This initiative ensures that students have access to nutritious meals throughout the day, contributing to their overall well-being.

The school’s infrastructure, while modest, demonstrates a commitment to providing essential learning facilities. However, the lack of electricity and a functional computer lab presents a challenge for incorporating modern teaching methods.

Despite these limitations, PS KASBA plays a critical role in the educational landscape of RAMPURA, offering boys in the area a chance to receive a foundational education. The school’s dedication to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment, combined with its focus on basic education and the provision of mid-day meals, highlights its commitment to fostering academic growth and well-being within the local community.
