PANASIA PROJECTPS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

PANASIA PROJECTPS, located in Odisha, India, is a government-run primary school catering to students from Class 1 to Class 5. Established in 2008, the school offers a co-educational environment and focuses on instruction in the Odia language.

The school building itself features two classrooms, equipped with both boys’ and girls’ toilets. While the school doesn’t boast computer-aided learning or electricity, it does have a library with a collection of 197 books. The school provides drinking water through hand pumps and has ramps for disabled students.

The school is managed by the Department of Education and is considered a rural school. It has a total of three teachers, including the head teacher, CHINTAMANI PRADHAN. These dedicated educators provide instruction in various subjects, with a focus on Odia as the primary language of learning.

The school’s curriculum focuses on primary education only, meaning students can attend from ages 6 to 10. Interestingly, despite offering primary education, the school also claims affiliation with “Others” for Class 10 and Class 10+2, suggesting a possible collaboration or partnership with another institution for higher education.

While the school does not have a playground, the “Meal” provided and prepared in the school premises is a significant element of the educational experience. The school also prioritizes the safety and accessibility of students with disabilities, evident in the inclusion of ramps and a commitment to inclusive learning.

The school’s absence of computer-aided learning and electricity highlights the challenges faced by many rural schools in India. However, the presence of a library and dedicated teachers signifies a commitment to providing students with a quality education. The school’s focus on Odia as the primary language of instruction emphasizes the importance of promoting local languages and cultures in education.

PANASIA PROJECTPS serves as a valuable resource for primary education in its community. With dedicated teachers and a focus on providing basic education in Odia, the school aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills for their future endeavors.
