P.S.PADRI: A Rural Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

Nestled in the rural landscape of HATHGAOM block in FATEHPUR district of Uttar Pradesh, P.S.PADRI stands as a beacon of primary education. This government-run school, established in 1967, offers a comprehensive learning environment for students from Class 1 to Class 5.

The school, which is co-educational, boasts a dedicated staff of two teachers, one male and one female. Hindi serves as the primary language of instruction, ensuring that students receive a solid foundation in their mother tongue. Although the school does not have a pre-primary section, it aims to provide a conducive environment for young learners to embark on their educational journey.

P.S.PADRI is conveniently located along a road accessible throughout the year, ensuring easy access for students and teachers alike. The academic session begins in April, aligning with the traditional academic calendar.

The school’s infrastructure reflects its commitment to providing quality education. With five well-maintained classrooms dedicated to learning, P.S.PADRI also has two additional rooms for non-teaching activities and a separate room for the head teacher.

The school, however, faces some infrastructural challenges. While it boasts a library stocked with 58 books, it lacks a boundary wall and a functional electricity connection. The school also does not have a computer lab or computers for educational purposes, highlighting the need for technological advancements.

Despite these limitations, P.S.PADRI remains a vital resource for the local community. The school’s commitment to education is further evident in its provision of mid-day meals, which are prepared and served on-site. The school also has a dedicated drinking water source, a hand pump, ensuring access to clean water for students and staff.

Hygiene and sanitation are prioritized at P.S.PADRI, with a functional boys’ toilet and two functional girls’ toilets. However, the lack of a playground limits recreational opportunities for the students.

The school, though lacking some amenities, remains a critical educational institution in the rural area. P.S.PADRI’s dedication to providing quality primary education, coupled with its efforts to overcome its challenges, make it a significant contributor to the community’s development and progress.
