KITACHUA PPS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

KITACHUA PPS is a government-run primary school located in the rural area of Odisha. Established in 2007, the school serves students from Class 1 to Class 5, offering instruction in Odia. While the school is co-educational, catering to both boys and girls, it lacks a pre-primary section.

The school building consists of two classrooms and provides basic facilities like boys’ and girls’ toilets. However, it lacks a boundary wall, electricity, and a computer-aided learning system. The absence of these amenities might pose challenges in providing a conducive learning environment for students.

Despite the limitations, KITACHUA PPS prioritizes reading and learning. It has a library stocked with 54 books and provides drinking water through hand pumps. Additionally, the school serves meals that are prepared on the premises, ensuring that students have access to nutritious food.

The school is managed by the Department of Education and is staffed by two teachers: one male and one female. Although the school offers basic infrastructure, it lacks ramps for disabled students and a playground, highlighting the need for further development.

While the school lacks modern amenities, its focus on providing quality education and its commitment to serving the community make it an important part of the educational landscape in the region. The school’s dedication to learning is further emphasized by the fact that it operates under the “Others” board for Class 10, indicating that it strives to offer a comprehensive curriculum to its students.
