KERIMITY PROJ. PS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

KERIMITY PROJ. PS is a government primary school located in Odisha, serving students from Class 1 to Class 5. The school is situated in a rural area, making it an important resource for local children. It is managed by the Department of Education and was established in 2010.

The school offers a co-educational environment with two female teachers and a single head teacher, JHUNU DEVI. The school provides meals for its students, prepared on the premises. The primary language of instruction is Odia.

Despite being a government institution, KERIMITY PROJ. PS lacks certain amenities. There is no computer aided learning facility, no electricity supply, and no boundary wall. The school also does not have a library or playground. However, it does have a well for drinking water.

The school’s infrastructure includes two classrooms, one boys’ toilet, and one girls’ toilet. The school is not residential and has not been relocated to a new site.

KERIMITY PROJ. PS plays a vital role in the educational landscape of the rural area, providing basic education to young children. However, the school’s lack of essential facilities like electricity and a library indicates a need for further development.

While the school currently focuses on primary education, it doesn’t offer pre-primary classes. The school operates under the “Others” board, which is not specific to any particular examination board.

The school’s focus on providing meals for students reflects a commitment to ensuring their well-being and addressing potential nutritional concerns. However, the lack of a playground limits opportunities for physical activity and recreational play.

While the school’s location in a rural area allows for easy access for local children, the lack of certain facilities may present challenges in providing a comprehensive learning experience.

The school’s limited infrastructure and resources present a significant challenge in providing a quality education for its students. However, with support and investment, KERIMITY PROJ. PS could become a more robust learning environment for the children of this rural community.
