KENDUBERENI PROJECT PS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

Nestled within the heart of Odisha, the KENDUBERENI PROJECT PS is a government-run primary school serving the local community. Established in 2014, this school provides education for students from Class 1 to Class 5, with a focus on Odia as the medium of instruction.

The school boasts a simple yet functional design, featuring two classrooms, one boys’ toilet, and one girls’ toilet. While the school doesn’t offer computer-aided learning or electricity, it does provide access to drinking water through a well, ensuring the students’ basic needs are met. To cater to students with disabilities, the school has included ramps for easy access.

Despite the lack of certain amenities, the school prioritizes the students’ well-being. It provides meals prepared on school premises, ensuring nutritional support for the children. Furthermore, the school is managed by the Department of Education, indicating its commitment to quality education within the rural setting.

The KENDUBERENI PROJECT PS employs two teachers, one male and one female, dedicated to imparting knowledge and fostering learning among their students. The school operates as a co-educational institution, providing equal opportunities for both boys and girls to learn and grow.

The school’s rural location highlights the challenges faced in providing quality education to children in remote areas. The absence of certain facilities underscores the need for greater investment in rural schools to ensure all children have access to a comprehensive education.

However, the school’s presence in the KENDUBERENI community serves as a testament to the commitment towards empowering children through education, even in areas with limited resources. The dedication of the teachers and the provision of basic amenities demonstrate the school’s efforts to provide a conducive learning environment.

While the KENDUBERENI PROJECT PS may lack some of the modern facilities found in urban schools, its focus on basic education and its commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for its students makes it a valuable asset to the community.
