KALADA UPS: A Rural Upper Primary School in Odisha

KALADA UPS, located in Odisha, is a government-run co-educational upper primary school catering to students in classes 6 and 7. Established in 1991, the school operates in a rural setting and offers instruction in Odia, the primary language of the region.

The school boasts a library, a playground, and a total of two teachers – one male and one female. The school also provides meals for its students, prepared on-site. Interestingly, the school utilizes an “Others” board for classes 10 and 10+2, indicating that the school offers an alternative curriculum.

Despite being located in a rural area, KALADA UPS offers a range of resources for its students. The library houses 134 books, providing students with access to educational material. The playground offers a space for recreational activities, fostering physical development and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The school operates with a limited infrastructure, lacking access to electricity and a boundary wall. Additionally, the school has no ramps for individuals with disabilities, highlighting a potential area for improvement. The lack of computer-aided learning and the absence of a drinking water facility point to the school’s need for additional resources and support.

While KALADA UPS offers essential facilities like a library, playground, and meals, its infrastructure and resources are limited. The school lacks modern amenities like computers and a proper drinking water source. The absence of ramps for disabled students and the lack of a boundary wall emphasize the need for further development and investment in the school’s infrastructure.

Despite these limitations, KALADA UPS serves as a vital educational institution in the rural area. The dedicated teachers and the school’s commitment to providing meals highlight the importance of education and community support in the region.

KALADA UPS, with its dedicated teachers and commitment to educating young minds, represents a valuable asset to the rural community. With further investment and support, the school can continue to provide quality education and empower the next generation of learners.
