JHS. AKBRABAD KUDA: A Rural Upper Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

JHS. AKBRABAD KUDA, located in the Lakhawati block of Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh, is a government-run upper primary school established in 2005. Situated in a rural area, this co-educational institution caters to students from grades 6 to 8.

The school’s building, while classified as “Dilapidated,” provides three well-maintained classrooms for instruction. Additionally, two rooms are dedicated to non-teaching activities, and a separate room is allocated for the headmaster or teacher.

Despite its rural location, JHS. AKBRABAD KUDA boasts several essential amenities. A playground allows for physical activity and recreation, while a library, although lacking in books at present, provides a space for students to explore the world of literature.

The school has a functional hand pump providing drinking water for students and staff. A separate boys’ toilet and a girls’ toilet, both functional, ensure basic hygiene facilities. However, the school currently lacks electricity, and the boundary wall, though constructed of pucca material, is in a state of disrepair.

Instruction at JHS. AKBRABAD KUDA is delivered entirely in Hindi. The school has three male teachers, but no female teachers. While the school does not offer a pre-primary section, it does provide a midday meal, although it is not prepared within the school premises.

The school is managed by the Department of Education and is accessible by road in all weather conditions. The academic session begins in April.

The school’s lack of electricity and limited computer resources present a significant challenge for students. However, the presence of a playground, a library, and functional hygiene facilities provide a foundation for holistic development.

JHS. AKBRABAD KUDA’s commitment to education, despite its challenges, underscores the importance of providing access to quality learning opportunities for students in rural areas. With continued support and investment, this school has the potential to further enhance its facilities and contribute to the educational growth of its students.
