JHS RAYGANJ: A Rural Upper Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

JHS RAYGANJ, a government-run school located in the Shivpuri block of Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh, is a beacon of education for children in the rural area. Established in 2007, the school provides quality education for students in grades 6 to 8, catering to both boys and girls in a co-educational environment.

The school boasts a solid infrastructure, featuring four well-maintained classrooms dedicated to instruction. These classrooms, along with two additional rooms for non-teaching activities, ensure a conducive learning environment for the students. However, the school currently lacks electricity, a boundary wall, and a playground.

The school has a dedicated library, stocked with 50 books, providing students with access to valuable resources. While the school does not have computers for teaching and learning, it does offer a mid-day meal program, providing nutritious meals to students on-site. This initiative is aimed at combating hunger and ensuring that students are adequately nourished to focus on their studies.

Despite the absence of a computer-aided learning lab, the school promotes traditional learning methodologies, utilizing the Hindi language as the medium of instruction. To enhance learning, the school is equipped with one boys’ toilet and one girls’ toilet, both of which are functional, ensuring proper sanitation for the students.

Although the school does not have a pre-primary section or offer residential facilities, its commitment to providing quality education to the rural community is commendable. The school’s academic focus lies on the upper primary curriculum (grades 6-8), with two dedicated male teachers guiding the students on their educational journey.

JHS RAYGANJ, despite facing various challenges, strives to provide a comprehensive learning experience for its students. It aims to not only impart academic knowledge but also instill values and foster a sense of community among the children. The school’s dedication to its students and its commitment to serving the rural community make it a valuable asset in the educational landscape of Uttar Pradesh.
