GOVARDHAN V M GOVARDHANP: A Rural Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

Located in the SHIVGARH block of PRATAPGARH district in Uttar Pradesh, GOVARDHAN V M GOVARDHANP is a primary school established in 1995. This private, unaided school caters to students from grades 1 to 5, offering a co-educational environment with Hindi as the medium of instruction.

The school is situated in a rural area and boasts a private building with three well-maintained classrooms. While it lacks a pre-primary section, the school provides facilities for non-teaching activities in two additional rooms. A dedicated space for the headmaster or teacher further emphasizes the school’s commitment to its staff.

Despite its rural location, the school offers a playground for students’ physical activity. The school’s accessibility is further enhanced by an all-weather road. The school’s commitment to basic amenities is evident in the presence of a functional hand pump for drinking water.

Furthermore, the school ensures the well-being of its students with a functional boys’ toilet and a separate functional girls’ toilet. However, the school currently lacks a library and computer facilities, including a computer-aided learning lab. While the school provides no midday meals, it emphasizes student safety by having a pucca boundary wall, albeit in a broken state.

The lack of electricity at the school highlights the need for further development in this area. The school’s reliance on traditional methods of learning is further emphasized by the absence of computers.

Despite these limitations, the school’s dedication to its students is evident in its commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment. The presence of a dedicated teacher’s room and a playground demonstrates the school’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education to its students.

The school’s continued operation and presence in the community serves as a beacon of hope for children in the area, providing them with access to quality education. As the school continues to grow, the addition of library facilities, computers, and electricity would further enhance the learning experience for the students, bridging the gap between rural education and more developed areas.
