The school, established in 1954, caters to students from Class 1 to Class 8, with a focus on providing a co-educational environment for its pupils. With a total of 13 teachers, including 5 male and 8 female teachers, the school ensures a balanced learning experience for all its students.

The school’s curriculum is taught in Odia, the primary language of the region. While the school does not offer a pre-primary section, it provides a meal program for its students, although the meals are not prepared on the school premises.

The school’s physical infrastructure, while modest, is designed to cater to the needs of its students. The school boasts 6 classrooms, equipped with 1 boys’ and 1 girls’ toilet. Although there is no computer-aided learning facility or electricity available at the school, the presence of a library with 512 books ensures that students have access to resources for supplementary learning. Additionally, the school has a partially constructed wall, and drinking water is provided through hand pumps.

However, the school lacks some key amenities like a playground and ramps for disabled students. Despite these limitations, the school prioritizes its students’ well-being and provides a conducive learning environment.

Although the school faces challenges in terms of infrastructure and facilities, the dedicated teachers and the commitment to providing a holistic learning experience make GOPALPUR UGUPS an essential resource for the local community. The school’s efforts to ensure that children from all backgrounds have access to education contribute significantly to the development of the village.
