It is managed by a private unaided organization and emphasizes Hindi as the primary medium of instruction.

The school building, constructed in 1994, boasts a total of four classrooms. These classrooms are in good condition and are well-equipped for educational purposes. Additionally, there are two dedicated rooms for non-teaching activities, ensuring a well-rounded learning environment for students. Notably, the school has a separate room for the headmaster and teachers.

Despite being in a rural setting, the school has a Pucca boundary wall for security and a functional playground for recreational activities. The school’s commitment to its students’ well-being is further emphasized by the provision of a library, although currently, it houses no books. The school also boasts a functional hand pump, supplying drinking water to students and staff.

Accessibility is a key consideration at DEV JHS KATHERI. While the school does not have ramps for disabled children, it provides separate functional toilets for boys and girls, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for all.

The school’s commitment to education is evident in its dedicated teaching staff. The school has three male teachers who strive to provide quality education to their students. The school’s approach to learning is further highlighted by its well-maintained playground, providing a space for physical activity and socialization.

Although the school does not have electricity or computers, it has a library, albeit with no books currently. DEV JHS KATHERI, despite its modest resources, stands as a testament to the commitment to education in rural Uttar Pradesh. It provides a foundation for learning and growth for students in a challenging environment, emphasizing the importance of education in shaping the future of the community.
