BALIBINDHA P.S.: A Look at a Government Primary School in Odisha

BALIBINDHA P.S. is a government-run primary school located in Odisha, India. Situated in an urban area, the school serves students from Class 1 to Class 5 and provides instruction in Odia. Established in 1960, the school boasts a total of 7 classrooms and has a library with 512 books.

The school prioritizes inclusivity by providing ramps for students with disabilities. Water is provided through hand pumps, ensuring access for all students. Despite its location in an urban area, the school lacks access to electricity and computer-aided learning resources.

BALIBINDHA P.S. is a co-educational institution with a dedicated teaching staff consisting of 2 male teachers and 2 female teachers, led by a single head teacher, BIBEKANANDA MOHANTY. The school provides meals for its students, prepared on-site.

The school is managed by the Department of Education and operates under the “Others” board for both Class 10 and Class 10+2 levels. The school does not offer pre-primary classes.

While the school has several positive aspects, such as its library and accessible facilities, it faces challenges related to the lack of electricity and computer-aided learning. This highlights the need for further investment in infrastructure and resources to enhance the learning experience for students.

The presence of a library with a significant number of books underscores the school’s commitment to fostering a culture of reading and academic pursuit. Providing meals to students helps address their nutritional needs and ensures they are ready to learn.

BALIBINDHA P.S. plays a vital role in providing quality primary education to the local community. The school’s dedication to accessible learning and its focus on providing a holistic educational experience are noteworthy. However, the lack of certain resources necessitates a focus on improvements to ensure a more comprehensive and modern learning environment for students.
