ZPHS VELVADAM: A Rural School in Andhra Pradesh

Nestled in the heart of the Mylavaram block in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, ZPHS VELVADAM stands as a testament to rural education. Established in 1985, this co-educational school caters to students from Class 6 to 10, providing a crucial educational foundation for the local community.

ZPHS VELVADAM is a testament to the dedication of the local body, who manage the school, ensuring its continued operation and serving the needs of the students. The school’s commitment to education is further highlighted by its robust teaching staff, consisting of 7 male and 11 female teachers, totaling 18 educators dedicated to imparting knowledge and fostering a conducive learning environment.

Though ZPHS VELVADAM is located in a rural area, it benefits from a readily accessible all-weather road, allowing for smooth connectivity and ease of commute for students and staff. The academic year begins in April, following the traditional academic calendar.

The school offers a comprehensive curriculum, focusing on the development of well-rounded individuals. Telugu serves as the medium of instruction, ensuring a seamless learning experience for students from the local community.

While the school boasts a dedicated head teacher, it currently operates without a dedicated school building, utilizing existing facilities for teaching and learning purposes. The lack of a formal building doesn’t hinder the school’s commitment to delivering quality education, with a focus on creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The school’s infrastructure, however, presents some limitations. The absence of a dedicated library restricts access to a wider range of books and learning resources. Additionally, the absence of computers and a computer-aided learning lab hinders the integration of technology into the learning process.

Despite these challenges, the school’s dedication to providing quality education remains unwavering. The commitment of the teaching staff and the dedication of the local body ensure that ZPHS VELVADAM continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of the local community. With continued support and investment, ZPHS VELVADAM can overcome its infrastructure limitations and empower students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive.
