UPS.SAHABAZPUR: A Rural School in Uttar Pradesh

UPS.SAHABAZPUR, located in the Dhaurahara block of Kheri district, Uttar Pradesh, is a government-run upper primary school catering to students from grades 6 to 8. Established in 2010, the school serves a rural community and offers a co-educational learning environment.

The school boasts a well-maintained building with four classrooms, all in good condition. The school also has dedicated rooms for non-teaching activities and a separate space for the head teacher. While the school’s boundary wall is made of pucca material, it is currently in a state of disrepair. The school operates without access to electricity and relies on hand pumps for its water supply. However, the school does have functioning restrooms for both boys and girls, ensuring basic sanitation facilities for its students.

With two male teachers dedicated to imparting knowledge, the school’s instruction medium is Hindi. The school also provides a midday meal to its students, preparing the meals on-site.

The school’s infrastructure includes a playground for recreational activities. Although the school lacks a library, the presence of a playground allows students to engage in physical activity and enjoy the outdoors.

UPS.SAHABAZPUR, despite its limited resources, strives to provide a basic education to children in the rural community. The school’s focus on providing a safe and functional learning environment is evident in the availability of classrooms, restrooms, and a playground. The school’s reliance on hand pumps for water and lack of electricity, however, underscore the need for further investment and improvements to enhance the educational experience for its students.

While the school’s lack of a library and computers might seem like limitations, it highlights the need for community support and government initiatives to bridge the digital divide and enhance access to educational resources.

Despite the challenges, UPS.SAHABAZPUR plays a crucial role in providing educational opportunities for children in the rural area. The school serves as a beacon of hope, fostering the development of young minds and empowering them with the skills necessary to navigate the future.
