UPS BANKASIYA, located in the MEHNDAVAL block of SANT KABIR NAGAR district in Uttar Pradesh, is a government-run upper primary school catering to students from grades 6 to 8. Established in 2011, the school serves a rural community and follows the Department of Education’s guidelines.

The school offers a co-educational environment, providing equal opportunities for boys and girls. Instruction is delivered in Hindi, ensuring accessibility for local students. While the school does not have a pre-primary section, it offers a comprehensive curriculum for the upper primary levels.

The school boasts a sturdy Pucca building with 4 classrooms, all in good condition. There are also 2 additional rooms for non-teaching activities, and a separate room for the head teacher. A strong boundary wall encloses the school premises.

Despite having access to electricity, the school’s electrical connection is currently non-functional. However, the school does provide functional hand pumps for drinking water, ensuring basic needs are met. Toilets are also available, with 1 functional toilet for boys and 1 functional toilet for girls.

Unfortunately, the school does not possess a library, nor does it have a playground for recreational activities. The lack of a computer lab and the absence of computers within the school limit opportunities for computer-aided learning. However, the school strives to provide a nutritious mid-day meal, prepared and provided within the school premises.

The school’s commitment to accessible learning is evident in the presence of ramps for disabled students. Although the school lacks computers, it has a strong focus on traditional teaching methods. The school currently has 3 male teachers who are dedicated to providing quality education to the students.

While UPS BANKASIYA faces challenges with resources and infrastructure, its commitment to providing a basic education to rural students is commendable. The school’s dedication to offering a safe and supportive learning environment, along with its emphasis on traditional teaching methods and a focus on essential resources like clean water and toilets, ensures that students receive a foundation for their future development.
