U.P.S. GULAL SARAY: A Rural Upper Primary School in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh

Located in the Maradah block of Ghazipur district in Uttar Pradesh, U.P.S. GULAL SARAY is a government-run upper primary school established in 2007. This co-educational institution caters to students from grades 6 to 8, providing them with an education in Hindi as the medium of instruction.

The school is situated in a rural area and is easily accessible by road. Its academic session begins in April, with a total of 7 teachers dedicated to providing quality education to the students. These teachers consist of 5 male and 2 female educators, all working under the guidance of a head teacher, Anand Prakash Singh Yadav.

While the school may not have access to electricity, it does boast a playground and a functional hand pump for drinking water. Although there are no computers or a computer-aided learning lab, the school offers a midday meal program, ensuring students receive proper nourishment during their studies.

U.P.S. GULAL SARAY features a government-built building with 4 classrooms in good condition. It also has 2 additional rooms for non-teaching activities and a separate room for the head teacher. Despite the lack of a boundary wall, the school provides a safe environment for students to learn and play.

The school’s commitment to providing a quality education is further highlighted by its focus on academics. While it does not offer a pre-primary section, the school is equipped to handle the academic needs of students in the upper primary grades. The school does not provide a pre-primary section, so students must have completed their primary education elsewhere before enrolling.

The school’s absence of certain facilities like electricity, computers, and a library reflects the challenges faced by many rural educational institutions in India. However, the presence of dedicated teachers, a functional playground, and a midday meal program demonstrates the school’s commitment to providing its students with a valuable educational experience.

U.P.S. GULAL SARAY serves as a vital resource for the local community, ensuring that children in the rural area have access to a quality education. This school plays a crucial role in empowering students to pursue their dreams and contribute to the development of their community.
