SWAMI SATYANAND P S: A Rural Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

SWAMI SATYANAND P S is a primary school located in the MANGRAURA block of PRATAPGARH district in Uttar Pradesh. Established in 2006, the school is privately managed and caters to students from Class 1 to Class 5. It is a co-educational institution, offering education in Hindi as the primary medium of instruction.

The school’s rural setting provides a unique learning environment. It boasts a simple yet functional infrastructure, with two classrooms in good condition and additional rooms for non-teaching activities, including a dedicated space for the headmaster. Despite its rural location, the school has a library with a collection of 15 books, offering students access to valuable resources.

SWAMI SATYANAND P S prioritizes the well-being of its students. The school has access to clean drinking water through hand pumps and provides separate functional toilets for boys and girls. The school, however, does not have a playground or a computer lab, limiting its technological and recreational resources.

In terms of teaching staff, the school has a headmaster, a male teacher, and a female teacher. This small but dedicated team is responsible for nurturing young minds. The school, however, does not have any pre-primary sections or pre-primary teachers, meaning students must enroll at the primary level.

The school operates on a traditional academic calendar, with sessions starting in April. The school building is privately owned and lacks a boundary wall, but offers a safe and conducive environment for learning. While electricity is not available, the school provides basic amenities like toilets and drinking water, ensuring a comfortable learning experience for students.

The school’s absence of computers, computer-aided learning facilities, and a playground highlight the challenges faced by rural schools in India. However, the dedicated teachers and the commitment to providing a basic, functional learning environment underscore the importance of education in the community. SWAMI SATYANAND P S continues to play a crucial role in shaping the minds of young students, fostering their academic growth and empowering them with knowledge.
