STMARYS RCMPS YESUPURAM: A Rural Primary School in Andhra Pradesh

Nestled in the rural landscape of NAGAYALANKA block in KRISHNA district of ANDHRA PRADESH, STMARYS RCMPS YESUPURAM stands as a beacon of education for young minds. Established in 1996, this co-educational primary school is managed by the Pvt. Unaided and caters to students from Class 1 to Class 5.

The school’s academic approach centers around providing quality primary education. Telugu serves as the medium of instruction, nurturing a strong foundation in the local language. The school boasts a dedicated teaching staff, with one male teacher and two female teachers.

While the school does not offer a pre-primary section, it provides a conducive learning environment for primary students. The school’s rural setting provides a unique backdrop for learning, fostering a connection with nature.

Despite its commitment to providing quality education, STMARYS RCMPS YESUPURAM faces certain challenges. The school currently does not have a dedicated building, and relies on alternative arrangements for classroom space. While the school has two rooms for non-teaching activities, the lack of a proper building poses a limitation to the school’s overall infrastructure.

Furthermore, the school lacks essential amenities such as electricity and a library. The lack of a playground also limits recreational opportunities for students. The absence of computers and a computer-aided learning lab further restricts the school’s ability to embrace modern teaching methodologies.

While the school does have drinking water facilities, they are not functional. Additionally, the school lacks both boys’ and girls’ toilets, highlighting the need for improved sanitation facilities.

Despite these challenges, STMARYS RCMPS YESUPURAM remains a vital part of the community, providing primary education to the children of the area. With focused efforts to enhance its infrastructure and facilities, this school has the potential to become a model of rural education excellence.

The school’s commitment to providing quality education and its dedication to the local community are commendable. With continued support from stakeholders and a focus on addressing infrastructure limitations, STMARYS RCMPS YESUPURAM can further enhance its impact on the lives of young students in the region.
