ST JOHNSON SCHOOL: A Rural Primary School in Andhra Pradesh

ST JOHNSON SCHOOL, located in LAXMINARSU PETA block of SRIKAKULAM district in Andhra Pradesh, is a primary school offering education from Class 1 to Class 6. Established in 2014, the school is managed by a private unaided organization and caters to students in a rural area.

The school provides a co-educational environment and offers instruction in English. The school’s teaching staff comprises 5 dedicated teachers, including 3 male teachers and 2 female teachers. The school operates under the guidance of one head teacher, P.John raju. While the school does not have a pre-primary section, it does provide a dedicated room for the headmaster and teacher, along with 2 other rooms for non-teaching activities.

Despite being located in a rural area, the school is accessible by all-weather roads. The school operates on an academic year that commences in April. However, the school does not have a school building, classrooms, or a playground. The school also lacks essential amenities like electricity and a library. Additionally, the school does not offer computer-aided learning or have any computers available for teaching or learning.

The school’s lack of a library is reflected in the absence of any books. While the school does not have a dedicated computer lab, it does have a functional drinking water source, albeit without a specific type. Despite the lack of proper sanitation facilities, the school does not have a library and does not offer midday meals.

The school’s lack of essential amenities, including a school building, classrooms, and a playground, presents significant challenges to its students. However, the school’s commitment to providing education in a rural area with dedicated teachers is commendable. As the school continues to operate and grow, it is crucial to invest in building infrastructure, improving sanitation, and providing access to essential learning tools like computers and a library to create a conducive learning environment for its students. This will enable the school to better serve its community and empower its students to achieve their full potential.
