SINGHADIHA NPS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

SINGHADIHA NPS, a government-run primary school, is located in the rural district of Odisha. This school, identified by the code 21070511807, caters to students from Class 1 to Class 5 and provides education in the Odia language.

The school building itself is modest, with two classrooms equipped with a single boys’ toilet and a girls’ toilet. While the school lacks computer-aided learning facilities and electricity, it boasts a library with 12 books and a drinking water facility powered by hand pumps. The school grounds are surrounded by hedges and feature ramps for disabled students.

SINGHADIHA NPS is a co-educational school, meaning that boys and girls study together. It employs two male teachers, a total of two teachers, and a head teacher who guides the educational process.

The school is managed by the Department of Education and was established in 2010. Interestingly, the school provides meals to students, which are prepared on-site, ensuring a balanced and nutritious diet for the children.

Although the school offers a comprehensive primary education, there are some limitations. The school does not have a playground, and its lack of access to electricity presents a challenge for modern learning approaches.

Opportunities for Growth

Despite these limitations, SINGHADIHA NPS offers a solid foundation for students’ primary education in the Odia language. Future initiatives could focus on:

• Improving infrastructure: The school could benefit from the installation of electricity, which would enable access to technology and enhance learning opportunities.
• Expanding the library: Adding more books to the library would provide students with a wider range of reading materials and encourage a love for reading.
• Building a playground: A playground would offer children a safe and fun space for physical activity and social interaction.

A Vital Educational Hub

SINGHADIHA NPS is a vital educational hub for the rural community in Odisha. The school provides access to quality primary education, ensuring that students have the opportunity to learn and grow. By addressing the existing challenges and embracing opportunities for growth, the school can further contribute to the educational well-being of its students and the community at large.
