SARESMAL PROJECT PRY. SCHOOL: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

SARESMAL PROJECT PRY. SCHOOL, a government-run primary school located in a rural area of Odisha, caters to students from Class 1 to Class 5. Established in 2008, the school offers a co-educational learning environment with a focus on Odia as the instruction medium.

The school building, while government-owned, lacks a boundary wall and lacks electricity. However, it is equipped with two classrooms, one boys’ toilet, and two girls’ toilets, ensuring basic facilities for students. The school also boasts a library with 25 books, a playground for recreational activities, and access to hand pumps for drinking water.

Academically, the school provides primary education only (1-5) and offers pre-primary education. The school has two teachers, one male and one female, along with an additional pre-primary teacher. Notably, the school provides meals for students, though these are not prepared on the school premises.

The school’s academic content highlights the emphasis on Odia language instruction. While it offers pre-primary classes, the school does not provide classes beyond the primary level. The presence of a library and a playground indicates a commitment to fostering not only academic learning but also overall development among students.

Although the school offers basic amenities, its lack of a boundary wall, electricity, and ramps for disabled students presents challenges. The school could benefit from additional resources to enhance its infrastructure and ensure a more inclusive learning environment.

SARESMAL PROJECT PRY. SCHOOL plays a crucial role in providing primary education to children in a rural area. By focusing on the development of infrastructure, including a boundary wall, electricity, and ramps, the school can further enhance its learning environment and create a more conducive space for student growth.
