S.KOTUBU PROJ UPS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

S.KOTUBU PROJ UPS, located in a rural area with a pin code of 764039, stands as a testament to the commitment to education in Odisha. This government-run primary school, established in 1971, caters to students from Class 1 to Class 8, offering a comprehensive education within its three classrooms.

The school operates under the Department of Education and utilizes Odia as the medium of instruction. Three dedicated teachers, comprising one male teacher and two female teachers, guide the students through their learning journey. The school provides meals, ensuring that students have access to nutritious nourishment during their school day.

While the school offers a library with an impressive collection of 385 books, it lacks certain essential amenities. Electricity and a boundary wall are absent, highlighting the need for further development. However, the school compensates for these shortcomings with a readily accessible drinking water source - hand pumps.

The school has prioritized the needs of students with disabilities, providing ramps to ensure accessibility for everyone. Notably, S.KOTUBU PROJ UPS is a co-educational school, welcoming students of all genders. While it doesn’t offer pre-primary classes, it prepares students for the higher grades by adhering to the “Others” board for Class 10.

Despite the absence of computer-aided learning facilities, the school provides a conducive learning environment through its playground. While the lack of internet connectivity and computer infrastructure may pose a challenge, the dedication of the teachers and the availability of a well-stocked library provide a solid foundation for students.

S.KOTUBU PROJ UPS is a shining example of a rural school in Odisha striving to provide quality education to its students. Its commitment to accessible learning, with a focus on inclusive education and a dedicated teaching staff, demonstrates its dedication to the development of its students.
