Pujariguda PS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

Pujariguda PS, located in the rural heartland of Odisha, is a primary school catering to students from Class 1 to Class 5. Established in 1969, the school is managed by the Department of Education and boasts a co-educational environment.

The school building, constructed by the government, houses 5 classrooms, providing a suitable learning space for its students. With 2 male teachers on staff, the school delivers instruction in Odia, ensuring students receive a strong foundation in their native language. While the school offers a library with a sizable collection of 415 books, it lacks access to computer-aided learning and electricity, highlighting a need for greater resource investment.

To ensure the safety and security of students, the school is enclosed by barbed wire fencing. Furthermore, it provides access to drinking water from a well, catering to the basic needs of students and staff. The school’s commitment to inclusivity is evident in its provision of a library, although it lacks ramps for individuals with disabilities, indicating a need for accessibility improvements.

Pujariguda PS serves a vital role in the rural community, offering a crucial educational foundation to its young learners. The school’s dedication to providing a supportive learning environment is evident in the provision of meals prepared on-site, ensuring students receive proper nourishment throughout their school day.

The school’s dedication to quality education is further highlighted by its adherence to the “Others” board for Class 10, demonstrating a commitment to providing its students with a well-rounded education. However, the absence of pre-primary sections and a playground underscores the need for expansion and improvement in the school’s facilities.

Despite these limitations, Pujariguda PS plays a crucial role in the lives of its students, providing a vital platform for learning and development. By investing in essential resources and infrastructure, the school can further enhance its educational offerings and empower its students to reach their full potential.

This dedicated team of educators, supported by a strong community, strives to ensure a positive and enriching learning environment for all students, laying the foundation for a brighter future.
