PS DAMAODAR PUR: A Rural Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

PS DAMAODAR PUR, located in the BASREHAR block of ETAWAH district in Uttar Pradesh, is a government-run primary school catering to students from classes 1 to 5. Established in 1997, this co-educational school is situated in a rural area and serves as a vital educational hub for the local community.

The school building, constructed with pucca walls, boasts four classrooms in good condition, providing a conducive learning environment for students. Despite the lack of a functional electrical connection, the school ensures access to clean drinking water through hand pumps. Additionally, the school has a separate room for the headmaster/teacher, further enhancing the educational experience.

While the school does not offer a pre-primary section, it provides a playground for students’ physical activity and a library, although it currently lacks books. The school has separate boys and girls toilets, each in good condition. However, the absence of computers and a computer-aided learning lab limits the school’s access to modern educational technologies.

The school’s commitment to students’ well-being is evident in its provision of a mid-day meal, prepared on the school premises. This ensures that students receive a nutritious meal, enhancing their focus and performance in the classroom.

The school is well-equipped to cater to students with disabilities, with ramps facilitating access to classrooms. The school’s focus on accessibility underscores its commitment to inclusivity and providing equal educational opportunities for all.

Despite the limitations of a lack of computers and a computer-aided learning lab, PS DAMAODAR PUR continues to provide quality education to the local community. The dedicated teaching staff, led by the head teacher, MAMTA RANI, strives to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

The school’s dedication to delivering education to rural children makes it a valuable asset to the community. As the school continues to evolve, it may explore opportunities to integrate modern technologies into its curriculum, further enhancing its capacity to provide quality education to its students.
