PS Chandan Pur: A Rural Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

Nestled in the rural landscape of Uttar Pradesh, PS Chandan Pur stands as a testament to the state’s commitment to primary education. Established in 1993, this government-run school serves the community of Jaswant Nagar block in the Etah district.

The school provides education to students from Class 1 to Class 5, offering a co-educational environment. While it does not have a pre-primary section, PS Chandan Pur boasts a dedicated staff of two teachers – one male and one female – who strive to nurture young minds. Instruction in the school is delivered entirely in Hindi, catering to the local linguistic landscape.

Despite its rural location, PS Chandan Pur is accessible throughout the year thanks to its all-weather road. The academic session commences in April, adhering to the traditional Indian school calendar. The school operates from a government-built building, equipped with four classrooms in good condition. Additionally, there are two other rooms dedicated to non-teaching activities, including a separate space for the headmaster or teacher.

While the school lacks a boundary wall and electrical connections, it boasts a well-maintained playground, perfect for fostering physical activity and social interaction among students. PS Chandan Pur also possesses a library, though it currently houses no books. The school’s commitment to inclusivity is evident in its provision of ramps for disabled children, ensuring equal access to education.

The school’s dedication to student well-being extends beyond academic learning. A functional hand pump provides clean drinking water for students and staff. The school boasts sanitary facilities, with one boys’ toilet and one girls’ toilet, both in working order. Additionally, PS Chandan Pur is actively involved in the Mid-Day Meal program, ensuring students receive a nutritious meal prepared on-site.

Although PS Chandan Pur lacks computers and computer-aided learning facilities, its dedication to providing quality education within its limitations is commendable. The school serves as a vital educational hub for the surrounding community, shaping the minds of young learners and empowering them to embrace a brighter future.
