PANCHUPATIA P S: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

Nestled in the heart of a rural community in Odisha, PANCHUPATIA P S is a government-run primary school offering education to young minds from Class 1 to Class 5. Established in 1952, the school has a rich history of nurturing children in the local area. With a total of 7 classrooms, the school provides a conducive learning environment for its students.

The school caters to both boys and girls, promoting equality and inclusivity. It is equipped with basic amenities such as separate toilets for boys and girls, ensuring hygiene and sanitation. However, it currently lacks access to electricity and computer-aided learning facilities. The school building itself has walls made of unconventional materials, reflecting the challenges faced by rural institutions.

Despite these limitations, PANCHUPATIA P S boasts a well-stocked library containing over 209 books, offering students a platform for exploring different worlds and expanding their knowledge. The school prioritizes the well-being of its students by providing ramps for disabled individuals, making it accessible to all.

The school operates with a dedicated team of two teachers - one male and one female - ensuring personalized attention and guidance to each student. The teachers provide instruction in Odia, the primary language of the region, and the school offers meals prepared within its premises.

The academic focus of PANCHUPATIA P S is on primary education, with no pre-primary classes offered. The school is managed by the Department of Education and is situated in a rural setting. It is a testament to the dedication of educators who strive to provide quality education to children in even the most remote corners of Odisha.

While PANCHUPATIA P S faces challenges, its commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for its students is evident. The school’s library, ramps for disabled individuals, and dedicated teachers demonstrate its commitment to providing opportunities for all children in the community.

This small primary school plays a vital role in the community, offering educational opportunities and a platform for children to develop their skills and potential. As the school continues to serve its students, it stands as a symbol of hope and progress in rural Odisha.
