PANCHAYAT H.S.,DEYPUR: A Rural Upper Primary and Secondary School in Odisha

Located in the rural heartland of Odisha, PANCHAYAT H.S.,DEYPUR stands as a beacon of education, serving students from Class 8 to Class 10. This government-owned school, established in 1989, is managed by a private aided organization and caters to students in a co-educational setting.

The school’s academic program is designed to provide a comprehensive upper primary and secondary education, culminating in the State Board examinations for Class 10. Instruction is delivered entirely in Odia, ensuring that students can learn and thrive in their native language.

With two classrooms, a dedicated library stocked with 100 books, and a spacious playground, the school provides a conducive learning environment. The presence of a hand pump ensures access to clean drinking water for students and staff. While the school lacks a boundary wall and computer-aided learning facilities, the presence of a library and playground highlights the school’s commitment to fostering a holistic learning experience.

A team of seven dedicated teachers, comprising six male teachers and one female teacher, guide and mentor the students. They are supported by the school’s Head Teacher who ensures the smooth functioning of the school’s academic and administrative operations.

PANCHAYAT H.S.,DEYPUR stands as a testament to the dedication of educators who strive to provide quality education in rural areas. Despite the lack of certain facilities, the school offers a valuable educational opportunity for students in the village of Deypur and surrounding communities.

While the school offers meal facilities, prepared and served on school premises, the lack of pre-primary sections and ramps for disabled students signifies a need for further improvement. The absence of electricity and a boundary wall also presents challenges to the school’s overall functionality and security.

Despite these challenges, the school’s strong academic focus, a dedicated staff, and a supportive community make it a valuable resource for the local area. As the school continues to evolve, it has the potential to further enhance its offerings and continue to empower the students of Deypur with knowledge and skills for a brighter future.
