PAIRAKHA PROJECT PS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

Located in the village of PAIRAKHA PROJECT, in the district of Ganjam, Odisha, the PAIRAKHA PROJECT PS is a primary school that plays a vital role in the local community. This school, established in 2007, provides education for students from Class 1 to Class 5, catering to the educational needs of children in the surrounding rural area.

The school, managed by the Department of Education, provides a co-educational environment where students receive instruction in the Odia language. It currently has two teachers, both female, who are dedicated to providing quality education to the children in their care.

PAIRAKHA PROJECT PS functions as a non-residential school, offering basic facilities like a single boys’ toilet. While it lacks certain amenities like computer-aided learning, electricity, and a boundary wall, it does provide meals for the students, which are prepared and served on the school premises.

The school’s academic curriculum is focused on primary education, meaning students can pursue studies up to Class 5. It is noteworthy that the school is not affiliated with any recognized board for Class 10 or Class 10+2. This suggests that students, after completing their primary education at PAIRAKHA PROJECT PS, may need to seek admission in other schools for higher education.

The absence of certain facilities like a playground, library, drinking water, and ramps for disabled students highlights the need for further development and improvements at PAIRAKHA PROJECT PS. These improvements would not only enhance the learning environment for the students but also make the school more inclusive and accessible.

Despite its limited resources, PAIRAKHA PROJECT PS serves as a vital hub for primary education in its community. The dedicated teachers, the provision of meals, and the focus on providing a co-educational environment all contribute to creating a conducive learning space for the children of PAIRAKHA PROJECT.

While the school faces challenges in terms of infrastructure and resources, it remains a testament to the importance of providing basic education in rural communities. With the continued support of the Department of Education and the local community, PAIRAKHA PROJECT PS has the potential to grow and develop into a thriving educational institution, empowering the next generation with knowledge and skills.
